He was born in Greenville on August 8, 1960 the son of Jim Randall Howe, Sr. and Jane Howe. He was a long-haul trucker for 35 years. He adored his wife and he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years Patty Ann Corwin Howe of Greenville, his mother Jane Howe of Greenville, 5 children Tracy (Christopher) Eylens of Lafayette, IN., Tina Rowland of Lafayette, IN., DJ Rowland of Greenville, Kenny (Melissa) Rowland of Greenville, and Ashley (Bobby) Rowland of Greenville, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 sister Kim (John) Pope of Greenville, and several nieces and nephews.

POWDERLY, KY., Steven Brian Hilliard, 71, of Powderly passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at his residence. He was born on December 11, 1951 in Detroit, MI., the son of the late Earl Hilliard and Willodean Steele Hilliard. He was a coal miner and worked for Hopkins County Coal Mines. While he was in the US Army, he served in Vietnam. He was a car enthusiast and he loved collecting Hot Wheels.
He is survived by 3 daughters Jeannie Hosman, Angela Caudill, and Brandy Terry, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Services will be private. A burial with military honors will be held in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly.
DRAKESBORO, KY., Tracy Lynn Gary, 61, of Drakesboro passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Greenville on September 25, 1961 the daughter of Obie Gene Gary and Mary Elaine Reed Gary. She was of the Baptist faith and she had worked at Walmart and Flynn Industries in Greenville. She loved her family and grandbabies most of all, but also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Terry Gary, and sister Helen Jean Gary.

GREENVILLE, KY., Stephen “Neal” Glover, 58 of Greenville passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Neal was born on October 14, 1964 in Owensboro, the son of Gerald Douglas Glover and Wyota King Glover. He was a building contractor by trade, a computer “genius”, an artistic painter, and a photographer. His hobby was working with computers and working puzzles. He loved cats and his special niece Paisley Grace, and he had a kind and loving heart for anyone.

She retired in 2013 from DASO Department of Defense in Columbus, Ohio after working for 30 years in cyber security.

GREENVILLE, KY., Mattie Lauretter Mallory, 95, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenville. She was born in Todd County on August 13, 1927 the daughter of Hugh Owens and Pernie Ethel Matthews Owens. She was of the Baptist faith and was a Christian lady. Mattie has been a resident of the Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation since 2019 when her health declined and her knee gave out on her which prevented her from walking. Mattie was a stay-at-home housewife while rearing her children. She loved to read her Bible and visit with her family and friends. She loved to travel in her younger days when she was able. She also loved to play Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her baby girl Barbara Jean Mallory, her 2 daughters Sandra Dean Mallory-Huff and Mattie Lou Mallory-Underwood, her ex-husband David Paul Mallory, her son Norman Ray Mallory, and her grandson Marty Lee Mallory.

Alma and her husband owned and operated the Alpine Resort and Restaurant in Burkesville for 13 years and was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church.

GREENVILLE, KY., Martha Bell Robinson, 90, of Greenville passed away peacefully at her home on February 17, 2023. Mrs. Robinson was born on June 27, 1932 in Greenville the daughter of Frank and Hazel Steele. She grew up in the Nebo neighborhood, attended Nebo School, then went on to graduate from Greenville High School. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the Kentucky Wildcats even when they played poorly. She loved the outdoors and camping and always had beautiful flower gardens. She was kind and loving and loved her family. She was an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed.

One of his greatest pleasures was watching certain favorite TV shows like Gunsmoke, MASH, Hogan’s Heroes, and Andy Griffith.

JACKSONVILLE, FL., Mary Dydemia Childers Gwaltney, 91, formerly of Greenville passed away at The Terrace of Jacksonville, Jacksonville, FL Friday, January 13, 2023. Mary was born on June 27, 1931 in Cahokia, IL to Arthur and Mollie Holland Childers. In June 1947 she married Delbert Leslie Gwaltney and immediately became the wife of a Navy Seabee. They lived in various locations across the United States and in Okinawa, Japan during Delbert’s Navy career. They eventually retired to Greenville where Mary enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She loved playing video games, watching the St Louis Cardinals, singing, and playing the piano. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delbert, her siblings, and youngest son Robert (Rob).

During his varied career, he owned Dennis' Market, Greenville, KY for 5 years, Lebanon IGA, Lebanon, TN for 5 years, was an underwriter with INA Insurance in Houston, TX for 3 years, an Allstate Insurance Agent for 25 years in Brentwood, TN, and has owned Horn Insurance Depot, Beaver Dam, KY since 2012. He became a Christian at a young age and was a member of First Christian Church, Greenville, KY. Dennis loved to travel and lived in New York, Texas, Kansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He would not hesitate to help someone in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents Melvin Ray and Mary Edith Horn of Greenville, KY.
