CENTRAL CITY, KY., Shirley Faye Harris, 83, of Central City passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Heartford House Hospice Facility in Owensboro, KY after a lengthy illness. She was born in McLean County, KY on October 11, 1938, the daughter of Ishmael Rust and Edna Alberta Turley Rust. She was a housewife and a homemaker and a member of Carter Creek Baptist Church. She was a loyal and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years Glyndell Dale Harris, a son Dennis Harris on December 12, 1992, and a brother Sydney Rust.
She is survived by 2 daughters Beverly (Phillip) Scarberry of Paintsville, Karen (Paul) Whitmer of Central City, 3 grandsons Jeffery (Nicole) Scarberry of Paintsville, Justin (Brittany) Mathis of Central City, and Brennan Mathis of Central City, 1 granddaughter Devon (Jesse) Drake of Greenville, 7 great grandchildren Lexie Scarberry, Chloe Scarberry, Charlee Crutcher, Malachi
Mathis, Kaden Mathis, Paisley Drake, and Tinslee Drake, 3 sisters Mildred (Rodney) Adkins, Wanda Abrams, and Eunice (Chris) Judd, 1 brother Dr. Michael Lynn (Debbie) Rust, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY conducted by her brother Dr. Michael Lynn Rust, assisted by Rev. Butch Day. Burial will follow in Carter Creek Cemetery in Greenville.
Powderly, KY., Jerry Wayne Uzzle, 60, of Powderly passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Muhlenberg County on October 17, 1961, the son of Justice Uzzle and Rose Marie Grace Uzzle. He was a construction worker working out of Laborers’ Local 1392 in Owensboro. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 10 years Terri Uzzle.
He is survived by 2 sisters Shirley (Ricky) Holland of Central City and Debbie (Curtis) Hopper of Greenville, 2 nieces Keesha (Matt) Edwards of Bremen and Haley Holland of Central City, 3 great nephews Rylan Edwards, Barrett Sullivan, and Beckett Sullivan, and several cousins.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery conducted by Rev. Curtis McGehee. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
CENTRAL CITY, KY., Cora Sue Doss, 86, of Central City passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville, KY. She was born on July 18, 1935, the daughter of Chelsey Booth and Gertrude Fentress Booth. She was a homemaker and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. She had an Associate’s Degree as a Surgical Tech and had worked at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence Tudor Doss, 5 brothers, and a son Eddie Lee Davis.
She is survived by 2 daughters Cindy (Ben) Quinones of Texas and Dana (Johnny) O’Neal of Central City, a son Robert (Linda) Davis of Graham, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be private.
Funeral services will be private with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, KY. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GREENVILLE, KY., Robert Dale Lee, 58, of Greenville passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at his residence. He was born in East Chicago, IN on March 10, 1963, the son of Robert Oliver Lee and Annie Elizabeth Simms Lee. He attended Duvall’s Chapel General Baptist Church and he was a CNA working for Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle and aunt Virgil and Stella Lee.
He is survived by 2 sons Tyler Lee of Greenville and Jacob (Katie) Lee of Bremen, 2 grandchildren Braelynn Lee and Addilynn Lee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10:00 until 12:30 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Depoy, KY with Rev. Gary Embry officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
