GREENVILLE, KY., — Wayne Loveless, 86, of Greenville passed away on Thursday morning, April 18, 2019 at River Oakes Health Campus in Princeton, IN after an illness sustained from a fall in January. He was born on June 15, 1932 in Pike County, IN the son of Jefferson Cleveland Loveless and Aldie Grubb Loveless. He was a member and deacon at Roland Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville. He had worked for Texas Gas starting in 1956 and he retired in 1992 as a supervisor after 35 years. He was a member of Pond River Lodge #244 in Greenville and the Rizpah Shriner’s Temple in Madisonville. He enjoyed being with his family, helping others, gardening, hunting, and serving his church.
He was in the Naval Reserves from 1952 until 1954, a volunteer fire fighter, and served in Civil Defense in the 1950’s prior to moving to Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Beverly Jean Loveless in 2003, a daughter Brenda Miller in 2000, his parents, 3 brothers Ken Loveless, Emil Loveless, Everett Loveless, and 1 sister Ruby Kelshaw.
He is survived by 1 daughter Kathy (Bob) Orton of Indianapolis, IN., 4 grandchildren Bryan (Angela) Orton of Fishers, IN., Mike (Darlia) Orton of Mahomet, IL., Jason (Krista) Orton of Franklin, IN., Jennifer (Travis) Miller of Bremen, 8 great grandchildren Katelynn Beadnell, Haylie Orton, Evan Orton, Brooke Orton, Mason Orton, Allie Beadnell, Eli Orton, Ellie Orton, sister-in-law Helen Blackburn Newkirk of Petersburg, IN., several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11am (CDS) at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Rev. Danny Mooneyhan officiating and with burial to follow with Navy Military Honors in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 5pm till 8pm at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Masonic Services at 7pm.
