GREENVILLE, KY., — Vernon Lee Garrett, 86, of Greenville passed away Sunday March 17, 2019 at 4:25pm at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born January 16, 1933 in Todd County the son of William Edgar Garrett and Ruby Lee Tooley Garrett. He was a farmer and a logger all of his life and was a member of Beech Creek Pentecostal Mission Church in Beech Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Patricia Jane Garrett in 1972, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Emma Lee Steele Garrett of Greenville, 3 sons Marcus (Martha) Garrett of Drakesboro, Robert Wayne Garrett of Central City, Teddy Eugene Garrett of Louisville, 4 grandchildren Johnathan (Gena) Garrett of Evansville, Joshua (Stephanie) Garrett of PA., Jennifer (David) Phillips of Bremen, Tiffani (Corbin) Logsdon of San Antonio, TX., 4 great grandchildren Noah, Nathaniel Garrett, Raelynn, Gunnar Logsdon, 2 brothers Robert Eugene (Diane) Garrett of Dunmor, Paul Ray (Cindy) Garrett of Madisonville, sisters Wilma Jean Dunlap of MS and Ruby Jane Bibbs of Shepherdsville.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11am at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Rev. Eddie Anderson officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery in Todd County.
