Donald Dean Wilcox, 62, of Greenville

Wilcox Donald_Dean_11-30-2018GREENVILLE, KY., — Donald Dean Wilcox, 62, of Greenville went to be with his Savior on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.  He was born in Muhlenberg County on October 30, 1956 the son of Joyce Wilcox and the late Billy Wilcox. He was a graduate of Bremen High School, class of 1974 and worked over 20 years for the Peabody Coal Company before becoming disabled in 1999. Everyone who knew Donnie admired his positive attitude, his kindness, and his perseverance. His life, especially the past 19 years has been a tremendous testimony of love and strength. Donnie deeply loved his wife, adored his daughters, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father Billy Wilcox and his grandparents Thilburn and Ethel Wilcox, and Freddie and Lillie Bell Majors.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years Vicki Jernigan Wilcox of Greenville, 3 daughters Tequia (Josh) Staples of Greenville, Nika (Jason) Ball of Greenville, and Risha (Ryan) Miller of Greenville, grandchildren  Abbi and Kira Staples, Isaiah, Josiah, and Aleah Ball, Jackson, Charlie, and Levi Miller, mother Joyce Wilcox, 3 brothers Ronald Wilcox, Jeff Wilcox, and David Wilcox, mother-in-law Sue Jernigan, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1pm at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Bro. Donnie Wilkins officiating assisted by Rev. Tim Adcock. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville. 

Visitation will be held from 10am until 1pm on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY.
