Laura Ann Mulligan, 97, of Greenville

MULLIGAN LAURA_ANN___10-6-2018GREENVILLE, KY., — Laura Ann Mulligan, 97, of Greenville passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2pm in Diversicare Nursing Home in Greenville after a lengthy illness. She was born July 19, 1921 in Greenville the daughter of Thomas Conway Taylor and Laura Pittman Taylor. She was a housewife and a homemaker and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City, KY. She was the Saturday night organist at the church for over 40 years and had received the Sophia Award in recognition of outstanding service to the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James F. Mulligan, Jr. in 1986, son James Francis Mulligan, III., daughter Mary Catherine Mulligan, brothers Charles Taylor and Tom Taylor, and a sister Jean Thomson.

She is survived by a son Michael (Kathy) Mulligan, Sr. of Madisonville, daughter Ann (Keldon) Smelley of Greenville, 3 grandchildren Christy Mulligan of Madisonville, Michael Thomas (Stephanie) Mulligan, Jr of Madisonville, Jordan Lillie-Anne Mulligan of Delray Beach, FL., 3 great grandchildren Haley Paige Mulligan, Audrey Lynn Mulligan, Levi Thomas Mulligan.

Funeral services will be on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City conducted by Father Josh McCarty with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, KY.

Friends may call after 10am on Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City until time of funeral. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
