Edna Beryl McSpedden, 93, of Greenville

EDNA-MCSPEDDENGREENVILLE, KY., — Edna Beryl McSpedden, 93, a witty, talented and optimistic woman was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. She was born April 5, 1925 in Bexly Heath, a suburb of London, England and came to America in 1946 as the wife of William (Bill) McSpedden the love of her life for 57 years before he passed away in 2001.

A woman of great faith she was very involved in her church through the years teaching Sunday school serving on various committees and singing in the choir and various programs. She touched many lives teaching kindergarten for 25 years. She was active in the community with various programs and in her earlier years she was in band boosters, PTA, and Woman's Club. She enjoyed giving talks about her homeland at schools and being a part of the West KY Chorale. Edna beautifully filled the role of the fire chief's wife and his 'make-up lady' when he would don his Santa Suit at Christmas. In her later years she also served as receptionist for Creative Source Inc., an art publishing company.

Edna is survived by her 3 daughters Donna (Michael) Richardson, Helen (Jerry) Hahn and Bee (Larry) France, 4 grandsons Patrick and Brad Richardson, David Chappell and Nathan Ewing, 8 great grandchildren Brei Anne, Colt, Caden, Journey, and Keaton Richardson, Chandler and Garret Wells, and Ty Chappell.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 21 at 11am with Rev. Steven Neel officiating at Greenville United Methodist Church.

Visitation is also at the church from 5pm to 8pm Thursday and 9am to 11am on Friday. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Greenville United Methodist church choir.
