Gladys Mae Vincent DeArmond, 95, of Greenville

GladysGREENVILLE, KY., — Gladys Mae Vincent DeArmond born August 29, 1922 to Jube and Hattie Antle Vincent of New Cypress was called home by the Lord on August 15, 2018. She was a member of New Cypress Church since 1934. She was an active member who taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and taught Training Union for many years. She sang in the New Cypress Quartet, managed the fellowship hall, and was active in the Muhlenberg County Christian Softball Association. She retired from Dr. Gordon DePoyster’s office after 26 years. She loved her family, friends, and church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James DeArmond, her parents, brothers T. J. and Allen Vincent, granddaughters Reagan DeArmond and Alivia Scott.

She is survived by a son Jimmie (Deborah) DeArmond of Greenville, a daughter Sissy (Larry) Scott of Greenville, 5 grandchildren David (Teresa) DeArmond, Michelle (Bernard) O’Nan, Amy                (Matt) Bell, Jamie (Anna) Scott, and Josh DeArmond, 10  great-grandchildren Amanda DeArmond, Katherine O’Nan, Trevis Bell, Lydia O’Nan, Caleb Scott, Will DeArmond, Claribel DeArmond, Brianna Johnson, Bailey Johnson, Brian Headen, 2 Great-great-grandchildren Olivia Johnson, and Taylor Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 19 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Jeff Noffsinger officiating assisted by Rev. Tommy Drury. Burial will follow in New Cypress Cemetery in Greenville.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 18 from 5pm until 8pm and from 10am until time of the funeral at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY.
