Donald Duane Gossett, 49, of Sacramento

GOSSETT DONALDSACRAMENTO, KY., — Donald Duane Gossett, 49, of Sacramento passed away suddenly on Thursday morning July 26 at 4:28am at his residence.  He was born on September 2, 1968, in Madisonville the son of Kenneth Ray Gossett and Sue Carolyn Gossett. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a graduate of Bremen High School and Madisonville Community College. He worked as a prison guard for Green River Prison and Hopkins County Jail. He was an Army veteran Specialist serving in the military police and he served in Saudi Arabia and Desert Storm and was in the first vehicle driven across the border in Iraq.

He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Sue Gossett of Bremen, 1 son Andrew Gossett of Lansing, Michigan, 1 stepson Nicholas Grossman of Lansing, Michigan, a twin brother Ronald Shane Gossett of Sacramento, a brother Jeffery (Lisa) Gossett of Central City, a brother Nathan Patrick Gossett of Bremen, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2pm at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville conducted by Rev. Chris Ball with burial with military honors to follow in East Union Cemetery in Graham, KY.

Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018 beginning at 11am until time of funeral at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
