BROWNING VIRGIL_EARL___5-15-2018WEIR, KY., — Virgil Earl Browning, 82, of Weir passed away on Tuesday morning May 15, 2018 at 9:20am at his home after a lengthy illness. Virgil was born August 18, 1935 in Weir the son of Earl Thomas Browning and Ollie Bell Wells Browning. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and was a farmer all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Linda Faye Browning and Brenda West, 5 brothers Jimmy Browning, Truman Browning, Alva Lear, Earnest Lear, and Alton Lear, and 3 step-sons David Keeling, Ronnie Keeling, and Stephen Keeling.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 1pm at Friendship Cemetery in Greenville, with Rev. Curtis Lear officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Anna Lois Browning, of Weir, 3 sons Ruben (Leticia) Browning of McAllen, Texas, Terry (Janet) Browning of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Chuck (Cookie) Browning of Central City, a step-son Doyle (Leona) Keeling of LaPorte, Indiana, a daughter Marsha Best of Fayetteville, North Carolina, 2 sisters Judy (Donnie) Horn of Greenville, Carolyn (Anthony) Allen of Greenville, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
