David W. Colyer, Sr., 52, of Greenville

Colyer David_Sr._1-18-2018GREENVILLE, KY., — David W. Colyer, Sr., 52, of Greenville passed away on January 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. David was born on May 2, 1965 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Maxie Lee Colyer, Sr. and Cora ‘Helena’ Millay Colyer. David was a crew chief of Trent Young Motorsports racing team.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a niece Jennifer Rush.

He is survived by his children David Colyer, Jr., Ashley Colyer-Simmons, Colby Colyer, Keaton Colyer, Haley Daugherty, Ciarra Daugherty, Matthew Daugherty, his grandchildren, Brookelyn Simmons, Emma Colyer, and Daxton Colyer as well as his mother Helena Colyer, his siblings Laura Colyer, Debbie (J.D.) Williams, Lee (Sandy) Colyer, Robbie Colyer, Lisa Southard, his nieces and nephews Kristan (Joshua) Cobb, Samantha Colyer, Wesley McDonald, Cory Williams, John Williams, and Katherine (Shawn) Brashear, he had many cousins and friends he loved dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 after 11am until time of service at 2pm.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2pm from Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville by Reverend Darren Pentecost and Reverend Billy Huff, with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly, KY.
