Jimmy Norris Carlton, 82, of Greenville

CARLTON JIMMY_NORRIS__11-22-2017GREENVILLE, KY., — Jimmy Norris Carlton of Greenville passed away on November 22, 2017 at the Hospice of Western Kentucky Heartford House in Owensboro. He was born to Laura Louise Motes and Eual Hardin Carlton on November 24, 1935. Jimmy worked as a butcher at the IGA in Greenville and then he went to work in the mines for Peabody in 1963 and retired after 27 years. 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Laura Louise Motes Carlton and Eual Hardin Carlton.

He is survived by the love of his life for 57 years Vivian Ann Logsdon Carlton, beloved daughters Lori (Ronnie) Dossett of Madisonville and Tonya (David) Bowers of Greenville, grandchildren Jennifer (Gavin) Drake of Murfreesboro, TN, Jilann (Nick) Suttle of Bowling Green, Natalie (Daniel) Garcia of Madisonville, Chelsey Dossett of Madisonville, great grandchildren Aliah Suttle, Aiden Drake, Zoe Drake, and Emelia Garcia.

The family would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Dr. Loucks, Dr. Maheshwari, Hospice of Western Kentucky, the Heartford House and especially nurse Robin for the love and care shown to our daddy. All the Hospice workers have made this transition so much easier and for that we are eternally grateful.

Visitation will be at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville on Saturday, November 25, 2017 after 10am. The service will be at 2pm on Saturday by Reverend Brian Neighbors with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Greenville, KY.
