GREENVILLE, KY., Charles Winford “Charlie” Jones, 79, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. He was born in Christian County on April 28, 1942 the son of Anna Lois Carrol Jones. He was of the Baptist faith and he attended Mercer Baptist Church. He retired after over 30 years from SuperValu as a truck driver and he was a farmer who loved John Deere tractors.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife of 58 years Della Mae Wells Jones, 2 brothers Danny Jones and Lawrence Jones, a sister Dot Meacham, a son-in-law Trevor O’Neal, a grandson Trevon O’Neal, and a granddaughter Heather O’Neal.
He is survived by 3 daughters Pam (Terry) Hardison of Lewisburg, Rhonda (Jason) Waid of Lewisburg, and Teresa (Bryan) Hendrix of Lewisburg, 3 grandchildren Cherie Cornelius, Jordan Hendrix, and Jaxon Hendrix, 2 brothers Wayne (Nina) Jones of Scottsville and Bobby Jones of Hopkinsville.
There will be a walk-through only visitation on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Assembly of God Church in Greenville, KY with masks required. Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Carneal Cemetery in Lewisburg, KY officiated by Rev. Bob Thurman assisted by Rev. Ron Noffsinger.
