GREENVILLE, KY., — Clarence Ray ‘Peanut’ Duvall, 84, of Greenville passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. He was born in Muhlenberg County on December 31, 1935 the son of Oble Leonard Duvall and Irene Clara Frederick Duvall. He was of the Baptist faith and was a mechanic working for Peabody Coal Company.
He was an Army veteran, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and serving in New York, Arkansas, and Fort Knox for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother L.W. ‘Jack’ Duvall and a sister Mary Breland.
He is survived by his long-time companion of 24 years Anna Johnson of Greenville, 2 daughters Lequetta Roark of Greenville, and Loria Bozarth of Panama City Beach, FL., 2 grandsons Dennis (Tabitha) Roark and Logan (Jody) Bozarth, 2 granddaughters Kari (Johnathon) Groves and Lauren (Nathan) Offutt, 9 great grandchildren Taylor Groves, Tia Groves, Madison Groves, Caleb Roark, Brooklyn Offutt, Layden Bozarth, Kaysen Bozarth, Bryson Offutt, Jamison Bozarth,
1 sister Betty Collier of Grand Rivers, 2 brothers William Paul (Karen) Duvall of Jasper, IN and Cooper Duvall of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 2pm at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Rev. Terry Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Vernal Grove Cemetery with military honors.
