Linnie Evelyn Williams Putman, 90, of Bowling Green

LinnieBOWLING GREEN, KY., — Linnie Evelyn Williams Putman, 90, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Tuesday morning, September 12, 2017 at 2:37am in Greenview Regional Hospital, Bowling Green, KY after a sudden illness.  She was born on January 10, 1927 in Greenville, KY the daughter of Freddie Bishop Williams and Ruthie Mae Harkins Williams.  She was a housewife and a homemaker and was a member of Sharon General Baptist Church in Greenville, KY.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lonzo Paschal Putman, Sr., 1 brother Andrew Williams, and a sister Barbara Cornette.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 15 at 1:00PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville conducted by her son Rev. Roger Putman with burial to follow in Lee Family Cemetery in Greenville, KY.

She is survived by 2 sons Rev. Roger Putman of Franklin, KY and Lonzo Paschal (Teresa) Putman, Jr. of Portland, TN, 2 daughters Patricia Jean (David) Martinek of Willow Springs, IL and Beverly Kay Lear of Bowling Green, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and 3 sisters Joyce Ann Dukes of Morresville, IN, Bonnie Dale Cornette of Greenville, KY, and Wanda Lee Johnson of Greenville, KY.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 11am until time of service at Gary’s Funeral Home, Greenville, KY.
